Dimplectomy is a surgery aimed to create dimples on the cheeks, depressions that appear between the corner of the mouth and the cheek while smiling. They add charm and attractiveness to the face.
During the surgery, circular exsections of the mucous membrane areas on each cheek are made within the patient’s oral cavity. Some pieces of the fat body are removed at the incision site. Then, external stitches are put on the marked mucous membrane on the cheek, which leads to incarceration of the treated area and, as a result, the dimple is formed.
General contraindications: cancer disease, cardiovascular and acute infectious diseases, arterial hypertension, thyroid disorders, diabetes mellitus, blood-clotting disorder.
